University of York – Spring Lane Campus

A new flagship teaching building at York University’s Spring Lane Campus consisting of a 4,000sqm three storey building which provides students with 26 seminar rooms and a striking curved double height 350 seat lecture theatre.

We were tasked with installing a complexed Structural Steel Framing System throughout to accept the curved brickwork area’s, rainscreen cladding and curtain walling systems.

JML integrated the SFS package with the Rainscreen Cladding system consisting of Nvelope aluminium support system and a combination of Marley Eternit and Rockpanel architectural panels.

We also undertook the full internal partition and ceilings packages which included over 500 Ecophon baffles and rafts.
